Starfish at the Ocean

On a hot day, after a big storm, an old woman decided to go on a walk on the beach near her home. When she got there, she saw thousands of starfish, stranded on the beach and dying. She began to pick up starfish, one by one, and tossing them back into the ocean.
En un día caluroso, después de una gran tormenta, una anciana decidió ir a dar un paseo por la playa cerca de su casa. Cuando llegó allí, vio miles de estrellas de mar, varados en la playa y muriendo. Comenzó a recoger las estrellas de mar, una por una, y las devolvió al océano.
Soon after, a young man saw what she was doing and said, “there are probably 10,000 starfish on this beach. You’re not going to make much of a difference.”

She picked up another starfish, tossed it in the water, and said with a smile, “I made a difference to that one!”
