What do you usually do when you need cash or to deposit a check? Go inside the bank or use the ATM?
Start bringing your money to the teller (the person at the counter), because then you can have a conversation in English! In my experience, bank tellers like to have conversations and will ask me about my family, my job, or my school.
The bank teller might speak to you in your home language, but if they do, say “I am practicing my English.”
