Headaches
Headaches are classified into two camps: Primary and secondary headaches.
Primary headaches are a condition and they account for 50% of reported cases.
However, doctors know more about secondary headaches. Secondary headaches are caused by health problems that triggers dehydration, injury, and heart disease. There are more than 150 diagnosable types and all of them with different causes and treatments.
The origin of primary headaches remains unknown. There are three types of primary headaches:
- Migraines: recurring and long lasting
- Cluster: intensely painful and rapid fire cluster headaches
- Tension: creates the sensation of a tight back squeezing the head
Take action! Secondary headaches and tension headaches can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication and can be prevented.
