Voting vocabulary
- There are 4 amendments to the Constitution about who can vote.
- Citizens 18 and older can vote.
- After a U.S. citizen turns 18 or becomes a U.S. citizen, he or she can register to vote.
- A candidate joins a political party and runs for office.
- You can help with a campaign and publicly support or oppose an issue or policy.
- On Election day, a voter goes to his or her polling place to vote.
